Share your views on improving and streamlining Australia’s export controls

We’re seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the Export Control (Tariff Rate Quotas – Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Export to the European Union and United Kingdom) Rules 2021 (Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Rules).

The Export Control Act 2020 and Export Control Rules 2021 came into effect in March 2021. The Act and rules form the overarching legislative framework for the regulation of exported goods from Australia. They underpin our reputation as a supplier of safe and reliable food and other products.

We routinely review the rules to ensure the framework remains modern, fit-for-purpose, and meets the needs of exporters.

Your feedback will help to ensure the Sheepmeat and Goatmeat Rules continue to meet the needs of Australia’s agricultural exporters.
