he personal information you have provided to us will be used and stored in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988). 'Personal information' means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
We collect your personal information so that we can contact you to invite you to participate in a research project (to improve our services as we carry out the Export Control Act 2020), and to facilitate conduct of that research project if you choose to participate. If you do not respond to the fields marked with an asterix, we will be unable to contact you with opportunities to participate in research projects.
Your personal information may be used by, and disclosed to, our staff and contracted service providers (authorised staff) in connection with our research projects. All authorised staff that will have access to your information will be subject to strict privacy, confidentiality and security obligations. Other disclosures will only be made where this is consistent with relevant laws, in particular the Privacy Act 1988. Your personal information will be used and stored in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, and deleted in accordance with the Archives Act 1983.
