What happens next
We will consider all feedback and make changes to the draft Imported New Vehicle Policy, where appropriate.
We will publish submissions (where this was agreed) and respond to specific issues raised by respondents to the HYS on this website. We will maintain engagement with industry and consultation participants as the policy is refined ahead of implementation.
Supporting implementation materials, including industry guidance, BICON updates and internal instructional resources, are being developed to support the new policy. Draft material will be shared with you to ensure the information is clear and provides the necessary guidance.
An Import Industry Advice Notice will be issued once the policy is finalised for publication and implementation.
