Help us test and refine new biosecurity classroom resources, developed for primary school teachers and students in Years 2–5.

Your feedback will help ensure the resources are fit-for-purpose and relevant for your classroom or organisation. It will also guide us on new materials to complement and build on these.

The resources include teacher guides, classroom lessons and activities for primary school students. Developed in partnership with Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA), they boost biosecurity awareness by teaching students about Australia’s biosecurity system and how to recognise potential threats.

Your feedback is important to us and provides valuable input for improvement.

We also welcome your comments and questions via biosecurity.education@aff.gov.au. There may be opportunities for school visits and incursions for schools that engage with us.

About the program

The Junior Biosecurity Officer program aims to raise awareness among children (and, by extension, their parents/carers, family, friends and educators) on biosecurity – its threats, impact and importance. It also aims to raise awareness of the role we all play to protect Australia through biosecurity and our shared responsibility.
