Thank you for your submissions on the Agriculture and Land Sectoral Plan.
Agriculture and the land will have an important role to play in helping Australia to transition to a net zero economy. A strong, economically efficient, global effort to reduce emissions is in the interest of Australian producers and land managers.
To develop the right plan, we asked for feedback. This feedback will help us understand what is needed or possible for the agriculture and land sectors in terms of emissions reductions and carbon storage.
Your feedback will help ensure the plan is ambitious but achievable.
How you provided feedback
We received over 230 submissions in response to the Agriculture, Land and Emissions discussion paper.
As part of the consultation process, we held workshops online and in-person, participated in industry meetings, and joined many public forums as part of the Future Drought Fund consultation process. We received information, ideas and feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, including:
farmers and producers
landowners
industry representatives and organisations
research and academia
Rural Research and Development Corporations
not for profit organisations
state and territory governments
members of the public
Although the public consultation process has closed, we are continuing to engage with industry and other stakeholders on the development of the plan.
