Share your feedback and help shape the future of the Accredited Grain Surveyor Assurance (AGSA) Scheme.

We are conducting a review of the Accredited Grain Surveyor Assurance (AGSA) Scheme. We invite accredited marine surveyors and industry members to share their views on:

  • how the AGSA scheme is operating

  • the standard for empty bulk vessel surveys

  • how conflicts of interest are managed under the AGSA scheme.

Your feedback will help to shape the future performance of the scheme.

About the AGSA scheme

The AGSA Scheme is administered by the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors (AIMS) on behalf of the department. The scheme outlines the requirements for marine surveyors to be accredited with AIMS to perform bulk vessel surveys. Under the scheme, anyone wishing to survey bulk vessels to load prescribed plants or plant products must be accredited by AIMS.
