How you had your say

We sought feedback from people in the import industry on:

  • your current scheduling arrangements

  • your experience with booking inspections in the Biosecurity Portal

  • the options detailed in the draft scheduling arrangements for imported cargo inspections.

You gave feedback through:

  • face-to-face and online meetings held around Australia

  • an online survey

  • written submissions.

Your feedback will help to inform improvements to the draft policy.

What happens next

We will review and consider your feedback. We will use it to update the Scheduling arrangements for imported cargo inspections.

We will release the final policy by the end of 2025.

Where there are changes required to current scheduling arrangements, the department will phase implementation throughout 2025 and 2026.
