On the 29 July we released the draft report assessing the proposed release of the leaf spot pathogen Neoramulariopsis unguis-cati into Australia for the purpose of controlling cat’s claw creeper (Dolichandra unguis-cati), a Weed of National Significance (WONS). This was for a 30 calendar day public consultation, which has now closed.

What happens next

We are now considering all comments received on the draft report. Your feedback will help to inform the final report on releasing Neoramulariopsis unguis-cati for the biological control of Dolichandra unguis-cati.

We expect to publish the final report in late 2025.
