What happens next
After the final report is released, we expect a transition period of at least 12 months to implement the new biosecurity measures. During this time, trade in dairy products will continue under current arrangements while new health certificates are negotiated.
Any new import conditions will be published on the Australian Biosecurity Import Conditions database (BICON). Register in BICON to receive an alert when we publish the import conditions.
More information on the final report can be found on the department’s website.
