Share your thoughts about preparation of livestock for export.

The Inspector-General of Animal Welfare and Live Animal Exports (IGAWLAE) is reviewing how the department regulates the preparation of livestock for export.

This review will examine:

  • how well the department manages its regulatory functions in relation to the livestock preparation phase of the export process

  • animal welfare outcomes throughout the export supply chain

  • how the department supports, engages, and consults with members of the livestock export industry.

The IGAWLAE is seeking feedback from people involved or interested in livestock exports. We invite you to share your thoughts on how the department regulates the welfare of livestock in preparation for export.
