Have your say on how Australia responds to exotic pests and diseases that threaten our Environment.

The National Environmental Biosecurity Response Agreement (NEBRA) sets out Australia’s arrangements for responding to incursions of exotic pests and diseases that harm the environment and our way of life.

As a NEBRA custodian, we review the NEBRA every 5 years to make sure it is clear, effective and up to date. This review is done in consultation with state and territory governments.

As part of the current review, we are inviting your feedback on a discussion paper. Your feedback will help identify ways to improve NEBRA and strengthen Australia’s response to environmental biosecurity threats.

To keep the review independent, Wild Matters Pty Ltd has been appointed to lead the review and prepare a final report. The report will be provided to the National Biosecurity Committee and Australian Agriculture Ministers in mid-late 2026.
