We sought feedback from you about the updates to the Methyl Bromide Fumigation Methodology.

We invited feedback from biosecurity fumigators and people in related industries.

This included:

  • Fumigators (onshore and offshore)

  • Customs brokers

  • Freight forwarders

  • Government representatives.

Who engaged

1100 people visited the Have Your Say site with 1050 downloads of key documents.

Survey

21 responded through our survey with 90% identifying as a fumigator or fumigation company.

What you said

Changes identified as having the most operational impact were:

  • changes to temperature requirements

  • treatment certificate requirements

  • concentration sampling tube placement.

You also identified some text that was unclear and appeared contradictory.

What happens next

We will review and consider your feedback. We will use it to make improvements to the methodology.
