Public consultation on the development of the National Recovery Plan for the Koala (combined populations of Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory) is now closed. Thank-you for your feedback.

What happens next

The Threatened Species Scientific Committee will review and consider your feedback in finalising the recovery plan. The recommended recovery plan will be provided to the Minister by December 2021 for decision.

The final recovery plan will be available on the Department’s website at https://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/threatened/recovery-plans
