About the program

The Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program provides up to $15.1 million of grants in 2022 to eligible groups and organisations for community-based tree planting and commemorative events. The events honour 70 years of dedicated service (Platinum Jubilee) by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, to Australia and the Commonwealth.

Her Majesty reached the Platinum Jubilee milestone in June 2022 and passed away on 8 September 2022. At this time of mourning, community-based tree planting and commemorative events funded through the Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program will proceed as planned in honour of The Queen and her 70 years of service as Australia’s Head of State.

The interactive map shows completed commemorative and tree planting events funded through the program. Grant recipients will use this map to share details of project tree planting sites and commemorative events. Members of the public can use this map to find or explore the locations and details of completed project events across Australia.

Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program Interactive Project Map

This publicly accessible, interactive map displays photos and details of completed project commemorative events and tree planting activities of the Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program.

The map shows two event types with different coloured icons, and you can apply a filter to see one or both types:

  • Commemorative events (purple icons), and
  • Other events or achievements (silver icons).

You can navigate to areas of interest using the zoom in/out (+/–) buttons at the bottom right of the map, your mouse scroll wheel, and/or by clicking and holding your mouse key to move the map.

Alternatively, you can use the search button at the top right to search for an address or locality. Clicking on the event icons will reveal more details about the projects.

Grant recipients are advised to refer to the Instructions for details on how to add their project event details and photo to the map for the public to view.
