Have your say on the draft Wheat Port Code
To provide regulatory certainty and support the transition to self-regulation, the Australian Government has agreed to remake the Wheat Port Code in a streamlined format, with the Code to remain in place for 3 years.
We are seeking feedback on the exposure draft instrument of the Competition and Consumer (Industry Code—Bulk Wheat) Regulations 2026, which will remake the Wheat Port Code.
We invite input from all participants in the wheat export supply chain, including:
wheat producers
exporters
port terminal service providers
industry representative organisations
Your feedback will help ensure the Code remains fit-for-purpose, promotes fair access, and supports the efficient operation of Australia’s wheat export market.
To provide feedback:
read the exposure draft instrument of the Competition and Consumer (Industry Code—Bulk Wheat) Regulations 2026.
provide a written submission.
Submit your feedback by AEDT 5pm Friday 24 July 2026.
