The Future Department Review Team, led by Andrew Tongue, is working to identify ways to fully realise the opportunities of a new department.

The review team is talking to staff and key external stakeholders. We’ve already held workshops with over 700 participants in Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Darwin, Sydney and Perth. We are now conducting targeted consultations with small groups from specialist areas.

Department purpose statement

The Executive Leadership Team is now looking to establish a new purpose statement for the department. We want our purpose statement to be a purpose that you can get behind, that you feel pride in, that connects all of us, across the breadth of the department.

You can provide your feedback to your branch SES, and your SES will collate and send it to the Executive Leadership Team.

You can also provide your comments by completing the survey below by 10 June.
