Draft Export Control Rules 2020 – Eggs and Egg Products

Submissions are now closed.

We are improving the current agricultural export legislative framework. This is part of our wider initiative to strengthen Australian agricultural exports and market access.

The improvements will make the laws more relevant, responsive and efficient for exporters, farmers and other primary producers. It will still provide strong regulation while removing duplication and ensuring consistency across commodities where possible.

How you had your say

We held information sessions across the country with:

  • Industry stakeholders
  • Farmers
  • Primary producers
  • Government agencies

We also asked for your feedback online. This focused on making sure the proposed changes are more relevant, responsive and efficient.

What happens next

The Taskforce will now consider all feedback in preparing an exposure draft of the egg rules.

Further consultation will be undertaken on the full suite of the rules once they have been drafted.
