Format of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock

We are seeking feedback from users on a new format for the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL).

We have taken your feedback into consideration from an earlier survey. We are now seeking your feedback on a new format.

We’re proposing two new ASEL format options:

  1. the standards for sea export and air export in one document—the Reformatted Standards for the Export of Livestock by sea and air
  2. two separate documents—the Reformatted Standards for the Export of Livestock by sea and the Reformatted Standards for the Export of Livestock by air.

What you can do

Read the following documents proposed ASEL format for option 1 and option 2.

Upload a submission telling us what you think.

We are seeking feedback from anyone who uses ASEL, or whose work relates to the export of livestock from Australia.

Why

This is part of the wider ASEL review being conducted by the department to ensure ASEL is fit for purpose.

We’ll use your feedback to improve ASEL, and future versions of ASEL.
