Public consultation on the development of the new Threatened Species Strategy has now closed. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
The Australian Government sought your feedback on priority issues to be considered in the development of the new Threatened Species Strategy. The new Strategy will outline the Australian Governments ten-year vision to protecting and recovering Australia’s Threatened Species. It will include high level objectives, priorities and action areas.
Consultation on Stage 2, development of the first five-year Action Plan, will commence in 2021.
How you had your say
We invited all Australians to have their say on the development of the new Threatened Species Strategy. Public consultation on the new Strategy closed on 20 November 2020. These views and insights were shared through an online survey and written submissions.
What happens next
Your feedback will inform the development of the new Threatened Species Strategy. Updates will be published on the Department’s website.
